Our Remodeling Process
Step 1 Conversation – The best way to for us to determine whether Tony Trapp Remodeling is a good fit for your project is listening to your needs and wants for the new space, learning about your future plans, and the scope of the project you have in mind. We’ll review your budget and make suggestions to facilitate working together.
Step 2 Thinking it through – After our initial discussion we determine the appropriate next step, which could be a site visit including trade partners or a designer, or other research to refine the scope of the project for you. Your involvement in the design process helps us create the living space best suited to you and your family. During this phase we may also review details of the project and help you make selections.
Step 3 Get it in writing – We provide you with a detailed contract specifying the materials, the processes, and the rough production and payment schedule, so the bid you receive is exactly on target and you know what you’ll pay when.
Step 4 It’s happening - With a signed agreement and down payment we will schedule a walk-through with the lead carpenter so you can get acquainted. Throughout the construction process your lead carpenter will check in to keep you updated on the progress. During the project any changes to the scope or pricing are done by a change order which you approve before we proceed.
Step 5 Completion – We love seeing you smile as you accompany the salesperson and lead carpenter on the final walk through your new space and examine our detailed craftsmanship. Once you’re satisfied and have a chance to review our work, we’ll send the final bill. When your payment is processed, you will begin to receive lien waivers from us or any trade partners.
Step 6 Stay in touch – Even though your project is complete, we’re still here for you. We aim for your long-term satisfaction, and hope for your continued business and referrals.
Repair Jobs from Start to Finish
Step 1 Hearing from you – Your call or email gets things started, and emailing a photo or two of what you’d like fixed is always helpful.
Step 2 Diagnose – If you’ve emailed a photo of the repairs needed, we might provide you with a diagnosis right over the phone. Otherwise, we can schedule an in-home visit.
Step 3 Estimate – We’ll provide you with a written estimate for the work you’d like done, and ask for a deposit.
Step 4 Scheduling – Once your signed contract and deposit are received, we order materials and schedule your work at a time that’s convenient for you.
Step 5 Completion – Our team members show up when scheduled and keep you informed about the progress, making your project our priority until it’s complete.
Step 6 Check-in – When the work is done we check in with you to make sure you’re satisfied, and give you the chance to review our work. Your satisfaction is our reward.
